Battleship For the Entire Family!!!! Student’s Name: Date:
Parent: ___ Directions:
ØEach person gets 2 grids labeled A-H on the vertical axis, and 1-10 on the horizontal axis. One is to track your attempts at hitting your opponent’s boats and the other is to lay out your ships for your opponent to try and hit. Ships can be made using anything you have around the house that covers between 2-6 squares. Or if you want you can get creative and use odd shaped objects to act as your battleships. Just make sure both teams have the same number of squares covered by battleships.
Ø Players take turn guessing a coordinate. If you miss, mark it on your grid with a white marker. If you hit their boat, mark it with a red marker and you get to go again till you miss.
ØContinue the game until a player has sunk all of the ships!! Have fun beating up on your parents!
For an added challenge, have a neutral friend name an area between 2-15 squares and both teams must cover that amount of area with battleships of any size and shape.
For an extra challenge double, triple, or quadruple the size of your game board and add more area to cover with ships. Again, make sure both teams cover the same area with ships.
Don't forget to bring in your finished game boards or game scores for extra Lion Bucks or homework points.
