Family Pyramid Worksheet
Directions: This is a 2 part project. The first part is to quickly answer the following questions below regarding Egyptian pyramids. The second part is to create your own pyramid! Have fun!!
Part 1: Answer the following questions.
1. Why did Ancient Egyptians build pyramids?






2. Where were they built and why does the dry desert help?






3. What is the name of the most famous pyramid?






4. What guards the pyramids?

Part 2: Construct your own family pyramids by doing the following.
  1. A. Create a pyramid using materials of your choice that will be displayed in the classroom.
(Materials could be cardboard, sugar cubes, wooden blocks, legos, pop cans etc.)




  1. B. Make sure the pyramid is no bigger than 14” X 16.” Try to make it reflect the Ancient Egyptian times

  1. C. Be creative!! I encourage you to paint or color the pyramid, create figurines, and make statues and sculptures or any other aesthetics you can think of that can surround the pyramid. I would also love to see the use of entrances and exits.

  2. D. Name your pyramid. Be creative in coming up with a name for the pyramid!

  3. E. Have fun!!
